After my roof is cleaned, what should I expect?

If your roof is affected by dark streaks or stains caused by algae, these should disappear almost immediately after your roof cleaning service is performed. You may see some mild discoloration here and there. This is likely caused by the remnants of dead algae and/or a bit of the surfactant that we use in our detergent. After a good rain or two this discoloration will disappear and your roof will look as good as new.
Moss and/or Lichen Growth
Moss and lichen will turn bright in color after our roof cleaning treatment. This indicates that the growth has been thoroughly terminated. The residue of these growths may hang on for awhile on your roof. Please note that it may take anywhere from several weeks to a couple of months for the residue to disappear from your roof. During this time, your roof may be a bit unsightly. But rest assured, it will gradually improve and look as good as new in a few weeks.

Lake State Cleaning’s roof cleaning warranty is really simple.
If you’ve chosen our Ultimate Roof Cleaning package, then your service comes with a five year warranty. The warranty covers the return of dark stains and streaks caused by algae. Re-growth of moss and/or lichen, general dirt and debris, or other non-organic stains are excluded from the warranty.
If dark stains or streaks caused be Gleocapsa Magma algae return within five years of your service date, simply give us a call. We will return to perform spot treatment as needed. You’ll just need to provide your receipt in order to qualify for the warranty.
